Original Bowie knife from around 1860-1870. Considered made in Sheffield. Unmarked blade. Total lenght 18" and the blade 12". All fittings made of german silver alloy. Original scabbard. Grip of black hardwood. Very good condition. Bowie knifes are rare in good condition, as most of them are worn up through a long service life among american settlers. The Bowie knife is named after Colonel Bowie, who fel at the Alamo.
